So for what feels about the 100th time I have moved my blog, although this isn’t so much a move as a consolidation, I had 3 different blogs that I had either abandoned or had different content on them, so I finally decided to move them to a single place.
After a quick search on Google it showed that WordPress has the import tools that would pull everything from Blogger and my own personal WordPress site into a single blog. So that’s what I did. It took all of about 10 minutes this morning to get the posts over and after about 20 mins of re-categorising the posts so that they all make a bit more sense it is ready to go.
This may only be a temporary stay as I am working on a bit of an API mashup that will use blog engines such as WordPress, Blogger, TypePad etc. to store the blog posts but have them displayed on your own server, with your own layout, but without needing any kind of database or other means of storing the data, so we will see how that goes.
But for now I am just happy to have everything in one place and be able to blog to it from a single app too (Live Writer).
