This weeks post has been a bit delayed, but with good reason.
I have been dealing with and getting over the flu for the last 2 weeks. This meant that Week 12 was basically a wash out. I managed to do 5 miles at the start of the week, but after that had the shivers and a fever for the rest of the week, and was then put on anti-viral drugs at the end of the week which put paid to any hope of training over the weekend as I started to feel a bit better.
To be honest though, it couldn’t have happened at a better week. Having just completed 20+ miles the previous weekend it was due to be an easier week with shorter runs all week and “only” 6m & 12m to do at the weekend before ramping up to another long weekend next week.
